Outdoor decking transforms a pink bathroom

I've had some ugly bathrooms in my former apartments, but I've never had to deal with PINK.  Poor Chris.  What's a guy to do?

For one, try to distract from the pink toilet (WHY?!) by covering the linoleum with a dark, masculine wood decking.  Ikea saves the day here, but Chris warns that you're going to have to throw something down so the outdoor decking doesn't bleed onto your landlord's crappy flooring.

A temporary backsplash!

Dawn spices up a boring rental kitchen with a fabulous fabric backsplash!  

Using fabric and simple clip frames, she can easily swap out the fabric when she gets bored.  You can also try wallpaper or wrapping paper in the frames for the same effect.

The tension curtain rod between the cabinets eliminates the need to drill holes into the wall for a suspension rail.  Genius!
